The balsa planking begins, I'm slicing up 1200mm x 75mm x 3mm medium density balsa sheets into 3mm and 5mm strips (this was the most economical method). The sheets varied in weight from 26-35 grams. I soaked the pins in furniture polish prior to being used to prevent excess glue sticking to them. The shadows also had cellotape wrapped around them to prevent the glue being stained by the foam.
