Clean Nose

During today's racing there were 12 skippers racing and 4 absentees including Ray, John, Viv and Dan.  Should our numbers swell we may have to consider having heats :-)
Dave R generously gave our two newest members a 30 sec handicap despite them previously sailing off scratch and returning average scores.  Ryan made the most of his head start and picked up 4 bullets in total,  Bridgend John couldn't quite keep the advantage and faired less well.
It appeared that in order to do well today in the 5-8mph Westerly winds it was really, really important to keep out of trouble around the marks.  On more than one occasion I managed to either sail around or in between a raft boats at the mark roundings.   keeping a clean nose for the majority of the 12 races completed helped me win overall, Ryan was second and Ian third.
Prior to the racing I made a short film of VMG just to help me see how the design was working especially in relation to fore, aft balance.
